Sooooooo...I just need to say that we LOVE MARY!!!! If it wasn't for Mary our trip to Dallas would not have been as successful! She was such a blessing to have...she took Hannah's mind off of things, comforted her and made us ALL laugh. Her AND her family have turned out to be exactly what we needed in our lives for many reasons! THANK YOU MARY....

Long Time...No Blog
Today is April 23rd which means we went to Scottish Rite last week. Not too much happened except that we had a GREAT road trip and a little new information. Hannah has some good cartilidge in her hip which can be fixed. The bone on the other hand is basically ruined. We scheduled another appointment for June 18th where the doctor will do an MRI and then we will consult with the Chief of Staff of the Leg-Perthes Clinic as well as the surgeon who will do her surgery. She will have to have more than one surgery. One that will be exploritory and then depending on what they find at that time, another to "repair". So for right now we are still dealing with waiting and pain but Hannah is a strong young woman...the strongest I know. Keep praying for her! I will keep you all posted. New pictures to come from our road trip too! <3

Day 16
Well this past Monday was one of the worst nights that we have had. Or maybe it was Sunday...it all kind of runs together sometimes. Hannah went to the races with her best friend and it was an all day event. She was careful but I think even being careful has its consequences. I could tell that she was sore but as she was sitting at the dinner table eating a late dinner, she texted me that she needed help. (I was only in the living room) I went in to help her and she couldn't even stand up. After some deep breathes she let me wrap my arms around her and pull her up. She fell into my chest and sobbed. She told me that she was just tired of feeling this way and relying on others to help her do simple tasks. I let her cry and reminded her how very much I love her and that we WILL get through this together. I also explained to her that "together" didn't just mean me & her or even our family of 4...but ALL the people that love and care about her. I can say with complete honesty that she is the stroungest, bravest, most wonderful young woman that I know. I really do love her with all my being and am looking forward to our visit to Dallas & Scottish Rite in April. Keep the prayers and comments coming!!! Love Rhonda & Hannah <3

Day 11-ish
No news is good news, right? I think that's how the saying goes anyway.
Ya' know one thing that has been really difficult on me as well as Hannah is trying to adjust what her priorities are. When all of this started she was a Dancer, and a Soccer player, and wanted to try out for Volleyball...and she loved to Run and a form of emotional outlet. She is a very typical teenager...she wants to roam the walkways of the mall with her friends. She wants to run around in the sunshine as Spring slowly starts to approach...but I have to tell her "No". Sometimes I give in just so she doesn't lose all of her experiences. Yesterday I let her go to watch the races with a friend. It was an all day event which meant lots of walking. Then she headed to the mall, etc....Today she is paying the price. We've used some pain medication and some Bio-Freeze. She was in bed by 8:20. Approximately 1.5 months until Scottish Rite Hospital. I just hope she (we) can all hang in the with good spirits until then. Keep us in your prayers~
MUCH LOVE

Day 6
UUGGHHHH! Today I found out that Hannah can only miss one more day of school and still be exempt from finals! Has anybody seen a study guide for a high school final lately??? CrAzY!!! You can only miss a total of 4 days for the entire year and she has missed 3. Why does this suck you might ask?!?!? Well her appointment for Scottish Rite in Dallas is on a Wednesday...a Wednesday is the only option. We were hoping for a Thursday or Friday to make it a weekend road trip and so that she could tour TCU (Texas Christian University) at the same time! That won't happen....Oh Well....first things first right?!?
Today was ok...I didn't see her much because I took Hollee to Karate. She did seem in good spirits as we watched American Idol though. Looking forward to the weekend as usual...may not Blog until then~
Much Love~

Day 5 (yes we skipped Day 4)
Hannah very rarely complains about pain but I can see it on her face sometimes. It breaks my heart. I would do anything to take her pain away...Today I mailed in the CHiP application and I will send the Harris Co. Hosp. District app tomorrow. We did find out other good things at Shriners the other day...I need to try and get Hannah on SSI. I hate to label her in ANY way at all but technically she has a disability and that's what things like SSI are for and DARS too. She could possibly get her college paid for. 100%...what a miracle THAT would be! She is so smart and positive that she deserves to be able to be the very best she can be. Right now we are kind of at a wait and see point. I think that's another one of the hardest parts....hurry up and wait.
I'll fill ya in soon!!! <3 MY HANNAH <3
